Piyush Sharma is the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a Compliance Executive, Piyush has over 20 years of experience working across industries in healthcare and life sciences, the energy sector, and technology services, helping develop best-in-class global compliance programs. Piyush has extensive U.S. and international experience in leading all aspects of a compliance program, from building global teams to implementing compliance systems and tools, and designing monitoring programs. Over his career, Piyush has helped establish enterprise-wide compliance governance, including managing compliance committees, and he regularly presents at Board meetings.

Piyush started his career in compliance at Pfizer, where he spent almost nine years. Prior to joining Alnylam, Piyush was Head of Compliance at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, AstraZeneca Rare Disease. He is a graduate of Brown University and Fordham University School of Law.
