Veronika has served the Open Payments program since its inception in 2013. Her initial role was a functional subject matter expert and system technical lead. She helped establish the program’s operating framework and led Open Payments System functional design. She is now serving as the director of the Transparency & Data Group (TDG) within the Office of Healthcare Experience & Interoperability (OHEI) at CMS, which is responsible for both technical and policy aspects of the program’s implementation.
