After graduating from Georgetown Medical School in 1997, George Manahan served as a Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force. He then attended Harvard Law School, graduating in 2005. Upon moving to San Diego, California, he spent one year as an associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP, and one year clerking for the Honorable Marilyn Huff in federal district court. Since 2007, he has been an Assistant United States Attorney in San Diego, where he has served in both the Criminal and Civil Divisions of the office. In the Criminal Division, he has served as Deputy Chief of the Major Frauds Section and as Health Care Fraud Coordinator. Currently, he is a line Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Special Prosecutions Section, focusing on health care fraud and related criminal statutes.
