Ahmed Alyousif is a Director in the Building Science and Sustainability group and has been employed by Pinchin Ltd. since 2019. With a rich academic background, he earned a Doctorate in Structural Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University, a Master's in Construction Materials from Eastern Mediterranean University, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Mosul University. As a member of Professional Engineers Ontario, the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, and the Ontario Building Envelope Council, Ahmed brings over 17 years of experience in engineering consulting and construction management to his role. Apart from his professional pursuits, Ahmed contributes to the academic field as a Professor in the Construction Project Management program at Conestoga College, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with future industry professionals. Ahmed’s experience includes being the primary design and project management lead working with and managing a team of project managers, engineers and drafters on variety building science and restoration engineering projects including industrial, commercial and government projects. He is responsible for directing and overseeing the evaluation and assessment various building components, preparation of rehabilitation program specifications and tender documents, implementation of project from concept to completion including, planning, design, procurement, construction quality assurance and project management, commissioning, and occupancy. Ahmed’s experience extends to business development activities and project client interface to maintain open/ongoing communication between stakeholders throughout a project and financial management of projects assigned to the team.
