Alyssa Armstrong is an Associate in the Municipal, Development and Land Use Planning Practice Group at WeirFoulds. She represents private and public sector clients in a wide array of public law matters, with a particular emphasis on expropriation, municipal and administrative law. Alyssa provides strategic advice to municipalities and public authorities with respect to expropriation related issues. She also represents landowners from across Ontario in a broad range of expropriation and real property litigation matters. She regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court and the Ontario Land Tribunal. Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Alyssa was Counsel at the Crown Law Office Civil, the central civil litigation branch of the Government of Ontario, where she represented government ministries and officials, with a particular focus on expropriation, administrative law and judicial review of government decisions. Alyssa’s clients benefit from her client-centred approach and her insights gained through substantial practical experience in the realm of communications and public policy. Before she became a lawyer, Alyssa advised public office holders with respect to a broad array of policy issues, including in relation to health, education, infrastructure and transportation projects.
