Cindy Chan is the Director, Risk Management & Insurance at BGO. In her role, she leads the organization’s insurance program, conducts contract reviews and provides risk management oversight for acquisitions and dispositions, among other risk-related activities. With over twenty years of experience, Cindy’s foray into the insurance industry began as a commercial lines underwriter trainee at a prominent national insurance company before transitioning into risk management with a major Canadian telecommunications company. Cindy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, and has earned the Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations. She has contributed to various insurance and risk management associations, and currently serves as Director of Industry Relations for the Ontario Risk and Insurance Management Society (ORIMS).
