Charles Therriault holds an MBA from the University of Hartford and a BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is also a CFA® charterholder. He was an Assistant Vice President in the Private Placements group at Citigroup Insurance Investments, analyzing securities for its Travelers division. Prior responsibilities at Citigroup included implementing a private equity investment management and accounting platform, and managing a portfolio analytics & performance attribution group. After 16-years at Citigroup and its predecessors, he joined Washington Mutual Corporation in 2005 as a First Vice President, working on mortgage-servicing rights valuation and analytics. He then took a position at BNY Mellon in 2008 and was a Managing Director in the Government Solutions group managing various scale initiatives supporting the U.S. government’s financial stability programs to counter the Global Financial Crisis and other work for various U.S. government agencies. In 2013, Charles was appointed as the Director of the NAIC’s Securities Valuation Office managing the credit quality assessment, in compliance with regulator adopted policies, of securities owned by state regulated insurance companies as well as supporting state insurance regulators on investment issues.
