Projects remain the primary vehicle for strategy execution, yet many organisations continue to suffer from poor visibility, late surprises, and ineffective decision-making despite extensive reporting.

This course addresses a critical capability gap: the ability to convert project data into clear, reliable, and decision-ready performance intelligence. Rather than focusing only on metrics and tools, the programme emphasises why performance reporting exists, how it should support governance, and how dashboards should drive action rather than explanation.

This course is designed for professionals who are responsible for monitoring, analysing, reporting, or acting on project performance information.

It is particularly relevant for Project Managers, Programme Managers, PMO and EPMO professionals, Project Controls and Planning specialists, Cost Engineers, Portfolio Analysts, Business Analysts, and Project Sponsors who need reliable insight into project health.

The course is also valuable for senior professionals who must interpret reports produced by others and make timely decisions based on performance information, including functional managers, finance partners, and governance committee members.

No advanced technical background is required; however, participants should have basic familiarity with project management concepts.

Certification Criteria

You must meet two criteria to be eligible for an Informa Connect Academy Certificate of Completion:

• Satisfactory attendance: You must attend all sessions of the course. If you miss more than two hours of the course sessions, you will not be eligible tocomplete the certification requirements
• Completion of the pre-course assessment: You must complete a shortdiagnostic assessment prior to the course. This assessment establishes baseline capability and informs instructional emphasis
• Active participation in in-class exercises and activities: You must actively participate in discussions, case studies, simulations, and practical exercises throughout the course
• Successful completion of the post-course assessment and dashboard exercise: You must complete the post-course assessment and submit a final integrated project performance dashboard demonstrating your ability to analyse, visualise, and communicate project performance for decision-making

Participants who do not meet all four criteria will receive a Certificate of Attendance only.
