James Horrex is responsible for the Index Solutions and QIS business at Schroders Investment Management in London. Prior to this, James was Head of Commodity QIS Structuring EMEA at Barclays Investment Bank.

James joined Barclays Capital in 2007 as a Fund Linked Derivatives Trader. In 2009 he joined the Equity Derivatives desk as a trader and was part of the team that created one of the first Quantitative Investment Strategy (QIS) businesses on the street. In 2016 James moved to Structuring, focusing on developing quantitative investment solutions across asset classes for pension funds, asset managers and institutional investors more widely.

James holds a Master’s degree in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Bayes Business School London.
