Nicholas ChancellorAdvanced Technology Team at Quantum Computing IncSpeaker
Profile
Dr Nicholas Chancellor works half time as an academic at Newcastle University, and half time as a consultant, primarily advising Quantum Computing Inc. Dr Chancellor has worked as an advisor for QCi since 2021. Dr Chancellor's research has focused on analog models of quantum computing with a stong focus on quantum annealing. Highlights of this work has included work to pioneer the reverse annealing protocol which enables hyrbid quantum-classical algorithm, and work on encoding, encluding developing the domain-wall encoding strategy to allow more efficient representation of optimisation problems on analog devices. Within his role at QCi, his research work has focused on alternative paradigms of analog quantum computing.
