Ruben Kerkhofs is a PhD student at the department of Mathematics at KU Leuven. His research interests lie at the intersection between extreme climate events, supply chain analytics and quantitative financial risk management. Ruben’s work has been presented at leading institutions including Yale University, Vlerick Business School, the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, Trinity College Dublin, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Research, and others. Previously, he joined the Sustainable Finance Group at Oxford University for six months as a visiting researcher. Besides his PhD, Ruben is also involved as a data scientist at RiskConcile, a fintech firm focusing on regulatory technology and risk advisory.
