Caltech-trained rocket scientist who, after seven PostDoc years doing numerical and experimental research in hypersonic fluid mechanic, made the switch to finance. Since then, 15 years in HFT working for, among others, Susquehanna, Goldman Sachs, and Optiver trading cash equities and futures, in Europe and the US, on lit and dark venues, aggressively and passively, as quant/dev and trader. Stefan is Head of Quantitative Analytics at Deutsche Börse since Feb 2022.
