Leo St-Germain with the Commercial Mortgages Group of MCAP Financial Corporation is responsible for originating, structuring, and closing primarily CMHC insured multi-family transactions for a variety of public and private real estate owners, investors, developers, brokers, and not-for-profit organizations on a market insured basis and more recently with the CMHC MLI Select construction and term program. Having originated insured financing for many years, Leo’s clients rely on him to provide considered advice and guidance regarding continually evolving CMHC policy and process.
He was instrumental in the Province of Ontario selecting MCAP as a lender for a prior federal-provincial funded CMHC sponsored affordable housing program. Before joining MCAP he held progressive positions with a Schedule 1 bank in corporate and real estate finance followed by a life insurance company owned real estate finance subsidiary. His tenure with MCAP includes several years with a former, captive commercial real estate mortgage brokerage.
