Rob is Senior Managing Director, Real Estate Investments for OPTrust, and is also President of OPTrust Realty Inc., OPTrust’s wholly owned real estate subsidiary. With assets of almost $25 billion, OPTrust invests and manages one of Canada’s largest pension funds and administers the OPSEU Pension Plan, a defined benefit plan with over 106,000 members. Mr. Douglas joined OPTrust in 2004 to develop and implement a real estate investment strategy. Today, he is responsible for an internal investment team of 14 managing a real estate portfolio valued at $5 billion in net equity with assets in Canada, the United States and other international markets. Mr. Douglas holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography (Urban Development) from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
