Ebru Ogan Knottnerus has been serving as an Independent Board Member at various banks in the financial services sector since 2018. She is a NED at Pasha Bank Türkiye, Pasha Bank Georgia and Odeabank Türkiye. She is also member/chair of several Board committees, including the Risk Management, Audit and Remuneration Committees of the aforementioned banks.

Mrs. Ogan Knottnerus specialises mainly in the risk management area in financial services. Before her current Board roles, she spent 17 years at BBVA Garanti Bank Türkiye as the Head of Risk Management. In that role, she was responsible for setting the bank wide risk management framework and governance including financial and non-financial risk areas.

She's also a founding member of the Turkish Risk Managers Association, established in 2002, and served as the Chairwoman of its Board for 6 years. Ebru Ogan Knottnerus has been influential in promoting sector-wide regulatory alignment by leading Basel working groups within the Turkish Banks’ Association.
