As VP of Industrial Markets & Strategic Initiatives for AEye, Inc., Akram Benmbarek leads business development for strategic initiatives, where he works closely with different stakeholders in industrial and mobility markets to leverage AEye’s adaptive, high-performance LiDAR to deliver improved safety and efficiency in their solutions.

Prior to AEye, Benmbarek was Quanergy’s senior director of business development, where he introduced the world’s first 3D Lidar based traffic management and perimeter security solutions, and grew the business globally. IoT smart spaces and security. Prior to Quanergy, Akram spent 16 years in Silicon Valley as both an entrepreneur and investment banker at Merrill Lynch, and UBS where he was VP of investments. Akram holds a B.A. in applied economics, and an MBA from University of Southern California (USC).
