Badar B. AlFughom is a highly experienced and successful leader in public and private sectors in the Kingdom in Project management, Construction and Engineering fields. He has been heading innovation, transformation, and business diversification in different companies through his career. He has a vast experience in leading integrated multicultural teams in high-visibility projects and programs in Project Management, Facility Management and Construction companies.

Badar began his career in Aramco where he was a Business Systems Analyst in Aramco Business Solutions group to design systems to enable business needs. When the kingdom mandated ARAMCO to build the beacon of education he was selected to be part of project management team (PMT)to lead this landmark project known as King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST), a cutting edge facilities for post graduate studies and R&D which includes latest technology for education and R&D such as the highest capacity of Super computing and visualization labs , bringing KAUST as worldwide center of excellence from the beginning of operation. Badar,s next assignment was to lead the design of King Abdullah Sport City (KASC) project in London, UK. In ARAMCO projects, KAUST and KASC, Badar managed a multi-billion project successfully integrating major multi nationals’ consultants and contractors.

Badar was then attracted by leading Saudi construction company, Al-Muhaidib Contracting Co. (AMC), to lead its ambition to take on mega projects. During his time with AMC, among other projects, he managed the design and delivery of the first fully automated Grain Silo project in the Red Sea City of Jizan. His last project with AMC was to design and build security and support building for SADARA project, a JV of Saudi ARAMCO and DAW Chemical.

Badar continued his career with Tatweer Buildings Company (TBC), a PIF owned company, where he was initially leading the development of a new procurement methodology which become best practice for multisite programs. Under his leadership TBC launched the first PPP program in the Kingdom following the 2030 Vision. In parallel to these projects, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce-SME Authority, Badar delivered a new program to develop small and medium local companies for facility management services to the public schools, aiming to improve the opportunities and scale up Saudi small entrepreneurs. He was later appointed as Corporate Transformation Officer where he led the cultural and digital transformation of TBC. The TBC digital transformation is recognized by ORACLE as a major implementation success, becoming a case study and a model to follow in ORACLE business.

While in TBC, he became part of Royal Court (RC) between 2016 and 2018, being a key contributor to launch some of the giga-projects in KSA: NEOM, Qiddiya and Red Sea; he was working in the capacity of PMO advisor to the General Secretary of the founding board. Badar was also assigned by the RC to lead the construction of a mega development in NEOM which includes airport and two hotels.

Badar is working with the royal commission of AlUla as Integrated Senior Advisor to the CEO (PT). He is tasked to develop countywide program to ensure all development including assets, infrastructure, financing, supply chains and systems are integrated and aligned.

Since August 2022, Badar has been leading two of the Kingdom's largest and most ambitious projects: the Landbridge (LB) and a highspeed rail network, with a combined value exceeding $70 billion USD. His role has focused on developing comprehensive project execution plans and establishing Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) to ensure the successful delivery of these transformative initiatives Badar attended South Bank and London Guildhall universities in UK where he got his BSc in business IT and MSc degrees in Information Systems Management and holds a various professional certification such as 2030 leader from MISK and a Process reengineering master from Michaell Hammer Co. Boston, USA.
