Dr. Ali Syed is an accomplished technologist with a career spanning the United States and the Middle East, contributing to autonomous mobility development, electric vehicle infrastructure deployment, and smart city design. He has held leadership roles across startups, global suppliers, General Motors in the U.S., and the giga-project NEOM in Saudi Arabia, where he led engineering design and delivery for multi-modal electric and autonomous mobility ecosystem – including solar-powered charging infrastructure, EV car sharing, and autonomous mobility.

Since relocating to Saudi Arabia in 2021, he has played a key role in shaping the region’s electric and autonomous mobility, and smart city landscape.

Dr. Syed currently serves as General Manager for the Middle East at Dynamic Map Platform, leading the creation of 3D geospatial data and High-Definition maps across the GCC to enable smart city planning and autonomous mobility. He is widely recognized for bridging strategy, engineering, and execution to drive innovation and digital transformation.
