Dr. Mohamed Nazier is a dynamic executive with more than 20 years of leadership in transportation, infrastructure, and engineering across the Middle East and the United States. He holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Rutgers University and an Executive MBA from INSEAD, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the USA, GCC and Egypt.
Currently serving as Chief Officer of the General Transport Center (GTC) at the Royal Commission for Makkah City & Holy Sites, Dr. Nazier leads the strategic planning and execution of transport systems that serve millions of residents and visitors annually. He also leads strategic efforts for privatization of the transport sector in the city. Previously, as Managing Director for Transport & Infrastructure at WSP, he oversaw a team of 800+ professionals and directed programs exceeding $20 billion in value, driving innovation in mobility, power, and water infrastructure across the GCC and North Africa.
Recognized for his expertise in program governance, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable transport policy, Dr. Nazier has advised on transformative initiatives in infrastructure resilience, value engineering, and lean practices. He is an active global leader within WSP’s corporate forums, sponsoring inclusion, diversity, and future-ready initiatives.
