James O’Sullivan is the Chief Executive Officer of Makan, a pioneering Saudi company at the forefront of transforming the parking and smart mobility landscape. Holding the distinguished Parking, Transportation, & Mobility Professional (PTMP) credential from the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI), James brings over a decade of senior leadership experience spanning commercial strategy, operations, data intelligence, and customer experience within the Parking & Mobility sector.

At Makan, James leads the development and deployment of advanced smart parking and mobility management solutions across Saudi Arabia’s cities, malls, and major destinations. Under his guidance, Makan has introduced modern services such as robot valet, premium parking, EV charging, and digital services, all designed to enhance user experience and operational efficiency. These initiatives directly support Saudi Vision 2030 by integrating technology and sustainability into the Kingdom’s evolving urban landscape.

Prior to joining Makan, James played a key role in shaping parking & mobility ecosystems with GreenParking in the UAE and daa at Dublin Airport—Europe’s fastest-growing airport at the time. His expertise includes driving technology adoption, optimizing mobility hubs, and leading high-performance teams to achieve operational excellence.

James holds an MSc in Information Systems for Business Performance and a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Cork, along with PTMP certification (formerly CAPP), is a ParkSmart Advisor and is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
