Saleh Saeed Al-Marri is a graduate of Qatar University, class of 2006, with over 18 years of experience in transportation planning. Following his graduation, Mr. Al-Marri began his career at the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, where he worked on various projects, notably the development of the main road network to support urban expansion and ambitious development endeavors, thereby establishing Qatar as a leader in progressive infrastructure development.
He then transitioned to the Ministry of Transport, where he has been a key member of the technical team responsible for land transport planning. Through his dedication and expertise, Mr. Al-Marri was promoted to Head of the Land Transport Network Planning Department, where he oversees the preliminary designs for future road networks in coordination with key stakeholders both within and outside the ministry.
In 2022, he was appointed Director of the Land Transport Planning Department, where he manages a technical team focused on developing the national transportation system. His responsibilities include leading strategic studies and proposing policies and legislation that support the future of transportation in Qatar. Under his leadership, several important studies have been completed, including the Transportation Master Plan for Qatar (TMPQ), Qatar Pedestrian Crossing Pedestrian Master Plan (QPCMP), the Qatar Freight Master Plan (QFMP), and various feasibility and design projects for transport corridors.
With his extensive background and commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure, Mr. Al-Marri plays a pivotal role in shaping Qatar's transportation landscape for years to come.
