The National Transport Safety Center was established by Cabinet Resolution No. (340) dated 5 Jumada Al-Awwal 1444 AH (1444 AH), to serve as the national reference for safety investigations of various modes of transport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Center enjoys legal personality and financial and administrative independence. It provides technical investigation services, consulting, studies, and training with the aim of reducing accidents, improving system performance, and raising the level of safety across all modes of transport The Center specializes in conducting independent technical investigations into Major accidents, identifying root causes, and providing preventive recommendations based on scientific methodology. It also plays a pivotal role in supporting decision-making by analyzing data and building a knowledge base based on global best practices, enhancing the effectiveness of relevant policies and legislation The establishment of NTSC aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, by strengthening the country's capabilities in accident management, responding promptly to incidents, mitigating their human and economic impacts, and consolidating the Kingdom's position as a regional reference in transport safety
