Since 1998, TUBOSIDER can offer a whole range of barriers fully certified in compliance with the European Standard UNI EN 1317-1/2/5 by proposing systems that have been successfully crash tested in the main Accredited Laboratories and that have obtained the CE marking by the Notified Bodies in compliance with the Regulation for the construction product n.305/2011.

Several solutions have been studied to meet the requirements of international customers for all containment classes and for the different installations.

The underground culverts in corrugated steel sheets are flexible metallic structures, made by corrugated metal plates, appropriately curved and joined together by means of bolted joints, available in various shapes such as circular, elliptical, pipe arch, underpass section and arch.

The load-bearing function of the culverts is based on the exploitation soil-structure interaction that is established between the metal structural profile and the detected technical surrounding, which plays a fundamental role in ensuring structural stability.

This structural methodology was implemented by Tubosider the late ‘70s and it is typically employed in the civil engineering sector.
