Greg is global head of Private Credit within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He is a member of the following Asset & Wealth Management Private Investment Committees: Corporate Equity, Private Credit, Growth Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Sustainable Investing Group. Greg is also a member of the Sustainable Finance Group Steering Group and the Firmwide Conduct Committee. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as president of Alternatives within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Before that, Greg was global co-head of Private Credit within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Previously, he was head of the European Special Situations Group, of which he was a founding member, from 2013 to 2019. Greg joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 as an associate in the Investment Banking Division in London and moved to the Distressed Debt Trading desk in 2003. He was named managing director in 2007 and partner in 2012.
Prior to joining the firm, Greg worked for a Canadian bank in its foreign exchange sales and trading business in London.
Greg serves on the Board of Directors of The Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center located at the World Trade Center in New York.
Greg earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Windsor, Canada, in 1995 and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, where he was a Shermet Scholar, in 2001.
