Global Co-Head of Private Credit at Goldman Sachs Alternatives

James is global co-head of Private Credit within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. In this role, he oversees the direct lending, mezzanine, hybrid capital and structured credit investing strategies. James is a member of the Asset Management Corporate and Credit Investment committees, as well as the Human Capital Management Business Advisory Group , the Client Business Standards Committee and the EMEA Culture and Conduct Committee. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 as an analyst and was named managing director in 2007 and partner in 2010.

James is a trustee of Greenhouse Sports and serves as a member of the Corporation Development Committee of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

James earned a BS from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in 1998 and an MSc from MIT in 2000.
