Jean-Gabriel (“JG”) is Head of Europe at W Capital Partners, based in Paris, where he leads the firm’s efforts to deliver liquidity solutions to European GPs and supports fundraising initiatives across the region. He brings more than 20 years of experience in investment banking and asset management.

In 2024, W Capital joined BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts as its dedicated GP-led secondaries business. BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts is a global leader in alternative investments, managing approximately $350 billion in assets across Real Estate, Infrastructure, Alternative Credit, and Private Equity.

Prior to joining W Capital, JG served as Head of AXA IM Prime US, where he managed relationships with U.S.-based GPs and facilitated private markets investment deployment for AXA and third-party clients. Since joining AXA’s investment platform in 2012, he held a number of senior leadership roles across Europe and the United States, including overseeing investment strategy and private markets portfolios for AXA XL, AXA’s global commercial property and casualty insurance business.

Earlier in his career, JG held senior positions spanning origination, structuring, and capital raising at AIG and Natixis. He began his career as an analyst at Viventures, the venture capital arm of the Vivendi Group.

JG holds engineering degrees from École Polytechnique and Télécom Paris, France.
