Karim Burhani is Managing Director of Alternative Capital, a Riyadh-based, CMA-regulated investment firm active across private equity and private credit. He has more than 20 years of experience investing in private markets across the GCC and the wider MENA region. His work spans the full deal cycle, from origination and structuring through value creation to exits via strategic sales and IPOs. He has invested in industrials, energy services, food and consumer, insurance and financial services, and he focuses on opportunities aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Before joining Alternative Capital, he was Managing Director at Emerging Investment Partners. Earlier, he spent eight years as a Director at the EuroMena Funds. Throughout his career, he has worked with institutional LPs, development finance institutions and regional family offices. He has also held board and interim CFO roles at portfolio companies.

Karim holds an MBA from London Business School and is a CFA charterholder.
