Sergey Jakimov is a founding and managing partner of LongeVC, a US-based venture capital fund supporting early-stage biotech and longevity-focused founders working to challenge the existing age-related disease landscape.
A serial entrepreneur, Sergey has co-founded three deep-tech ventures and raised more than $50 million in venture funding across his own companies and as an entrepreneur in residence. He has advised several early-stage therapeutics companies on fundraising, IP protection, and clinical trial strategy, with a focus on cardiovascular, oncology, and neurodegenerative indications.
Sergey also serves as a visiting lecturer at several universities, teaching venture capital and intellectual property rights, and co-authored a master's program in Technology Law at the Riga Graduate School of Law. In 2018, he co-founded Longenesis, a medical tech company focused on unlocking the value of biomedical data to accelerate drug discovery. In 2020, he co-founded LongeVC, and in 2021, the Longevity Science Foundation, a non-profit advancing human longevity through research funding and medical technology development.
He holds a BSc in International Affairs from Riga Stradins University, an MSc in Political Science and Government from Central European University, and an MSc in Law and Finance from the Riga Graduate School of Law.
