Christoph Lueneburger

Mr. Lueneburger is the Talent Managing Partner at L Catterton Portfolio Operations. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Managing Director at TowerBrook Capital Partners, where he built and led the firm’s portfolio talent strategy. He also directed the firm’s investment activities in German-speaking Europe and opened its Frankfurt office. As Co-Chair of the Responsible Ownership Committee, he was instrumental in achieving B-Corp certification for TowerBrook and several of its portfolio companies.

Previously, Mr. Lueneburger was a Partner in Egon Zehnder’s New York office, where he led the global Private Equity Practice after founding the firm’s Sustainability Practice. Earlier in his career, he was an engineer in the U.S., a boat builder in Canada, and President of a specialty materials manufacturer in Germany.

Mr. Lueneburger earned undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Mechanical Engineering, and a master’s degree in Fluid Dynamics from Purdue University. He later earned an MBA from INSEAD. He is a Fellow at The Aspen Institute and author of A Culture of Purpose: How to Choose the Right People and Make the Right People Choose You (Wiley).
