Mr. Schwartz is a Partner and Head of Credit in the Ares Secondaries Group. Mr. Schwartz serves as a member of the Ares Secondaries Group's Credit and Private Equity Investment Committees. Additionally, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Ares Secondaries Group. Prior to his current role, Mr. Schwartz served as Co-Head of U.S. Direct Lending, which he joined at the inception of firm's Direct Lending effort in 2004. Prior to joining Ares, Mr. Schwartz was employed by RBC Capital Partners, a division of Royal Bank of Canada, which led the firm's middle market financing and principal investment business. Mr. Schwartz began his career in the Merchant Banking Group of Indosuez Capital. Mr. Schwartz serves as a Trustee of The Sacred Heart School in New York City. Mr. Schwartz received a B.S. from Georgetown University.
