Prior to joining Willow Tree, Mr. Roche was a member of the Investment Committee and head of private credit origination during the ramp of a private BDC complex advised by Blackstone Group/GSO Capital Partners. During his tenure, the complex grew to become one of the world’s largest managers of business development companies with over $17 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2016. He previously held other senior roles at Blackstone/GSO, including as a Portfolio Manager for GSO’s CLO business. Before joining GSO, he was a member of the private credit investment team at RBC Leveraged Capital (from 2001 until 2005) and held positions at Fitch Ratings, Inc., Nations Credit, and MetLife Capital.
