Joshua Easterly is Co-Founder, Co-Chief Investment Officer, and Co-President of Sixth Street, a leading global investment firm with more than $75 billion in assets under management.
Founded in 2009, Sixth Street uses its long-term flexible capital, data-enabled capabilities, and One Team culture to develop themes and offer solutions to companies across all stages of growth.
Mr. Easterly also serves as chairman and CEO of Sixth Street Specialty Lending (NYSE:TSLX), a publicly listed business development company, and Sixth Street Lending Partners, a private business development company focused on large cap direct lending.
Prior to co-founding Sixth Street in 2009, Mr. Easterly was a Managing Director in the largest proprietary investment group at Goldman Sachs, where he held the position of AmSSG’s chief investment officer. He also held the positions of head of principal investing and co-head of the Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group. Other leadership roles during his tenure at Goldman Sachs included co-head of AmSSG Asset Investing and co-head of AmSSG Private Equity. He also served on various boards of directors of companies in which AmSSG invested.
Before joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Easterly was Senior Vice President, Northeast Regional Originations Manager, at Wells Fargo Foothill, the commercial finance company of Wells Fargo & Co. In this role, he was responsible for all origination and underwriting efforts in New York and Boston and was a member of the credit committee and senior management team.
Mr. Easterly received a BS degree in business administration, magna cum laude, from California State University, Fresno.
