Mr. Jackson joined Castlelake in 2019 and leads Residential Mortgage Finance investment activities. In this role, he focuses on guiding the investment team and originating and executing Castlelake’s investment strategy in residential mortgage finance opportunities globally, including residential transitional loans, non-qualified mortgages, prime jumbo loans and small-balance multifamily loans. Previously, Mr. Jackson served as a member of the firm’s Specialty Finance team, where he was responsible for originating new investment opportunities across commercial and consumer opportunities. During that time, he also worked to establish and expand the residential mortgage finance investment team and strategy.

Prior to Castlelake, Mr. Jackson was a managing director at Piper Sandler (formerly Piper Jaffray) in the Proprietary Trading and Investing group where he managed the firm’s investments in commercial and residential mortgage loans and securities. Prior to that, he was an analyst and trader at GMAC ResCap where he structured mortgage securitizations and helped manage the firm’s credit residual portfolio.
