Richard Grimm is the Head of Global Credit and a Managing Director in Cambridge Associates’ New York office.
Richard works with many of the firm’s largest investors in the asset class. With more than 25 years of global investment experience, including having completed investments in 14 countries across various structures, Richard leverages his experience to construct customized private credit portfolios to help his clients achieve their investment goals.
Before joining Cambridge Associates, Richard was a Managing Director of Value Recovery Capital, where he focused on US and European special situations, distressed, and credit opportunities. He also served on the Investment Committee. Prior to this, he spent 13 years as an investor with Soros Fund Management and successor entities, including TowerBrook Capital Partners, and Camulos Capital, the former credit arm of SFM. Earlier in his career, Richard worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he focused on leveraged finance origination, as well as with Goldman Sachs’ Private Client Services group.
Richard received his BA in Economics and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences from Northwestern University
