Scott joined HSBC AM in October 2022 to undertake the role of Head of Private Credit where he leads the development of the private credit collaboration between the bank and asset management.

Scott joined HSBC in 2010 and has held various senior positions across Commercial Banking. He was leading Leverage Finance UK at HSBC Bank, Middle Market Financial Sponsors, and was instrumental in the creation of the HSBC Senior UK Direct Lending strategy. Prior to this, he was Head of Energy & Sustainability, where he led the sustainable finance strategy (across UK and internationally) and drove sustainable infrastructure investment across diverse sectors.

Scott McClurg is a Chartered Accountant with over 28 years’ experience in corporate finance.
