Andrew Wang

Head of Consumer, Private Equity at Mubadala Investment Company

Based in Abu Dhabi, Andrew Wang is the Head of Consumer within Mubadala’s Private Equity platform, where he leads global direct investments across consumer-related subsectors.

Since joining Mubadala in 2024, Andrew has led or been closely involved in several significant transactions, including investments in Apleona Group and Nord Anglia Education, as well as the co-controlling acquisitions of Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio (UAX) and Loscam.

Andrew brings over a decade of private equity experience, with a focus on cross-border leveraged buyouts and partnering with market-leading consumer companies. Prior to joining Mubadala, he was a Managing Director at EQT (formerly Baring Private Equity Asia) from 2012 to 2023, where he helped lead a number of marquee transactions, including Nord Anglia, Vistra, HCP Packaging, Horizon Robotics, Envirotainer, Solera Holdings, Giant Interactive, eHi, and Impro Precision. In these roles, he worked closely with founders and management teams to support international expansion, digital transformation, and operational excellence.

Andrew began his career at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong and at Diamond Management Consulting in Chicago. He holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
