Eric has over 13 years of investment experience from structuring debt & equity transactions, performing due diligence, and evaluating credit and commercial risks to crafting flexible financing packages that support growth companies and innovative startups. With a proven track record in over US$300m of financing and investment transactions, he brings a unique blend of strategic insight, financial rigor, and a deep understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape in South-East Asia.
Eric was most recently with impact fund Circulate Capital and led ESG investments in South-East Asia. He was pivotal in refining internal credit policies, streamlined processes and enhanced the underwriting model during his time with the firm. Prior to that, he was with the investment arm of the Economic Development Board of Singapore (EDBI) for 4.5 years and executed a range of transactions including venture debt, mezzanine debt, growth and buyout deals across South-East Asia, where he assessed the financial, operational, and market viability of target companies and led the due diligence and investment process for potential investments.
Eric began his investment career in 2012 with Changi Airports International (Temasek-backed infrastructure fund) and focused on airport investments.
Eric has a CFA Charter, holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability from Harvard University and a double Bachelor degree in Business Administration and Accountancy from Singapore Management University. He was also on the Dean’s List and a SMU Scholar.
