Investment Committee Member, Convergence Blended Finance at Beacon Fund Management

Karen Tsang-Hounsell serves as an Investment Committee Member for Convergence Blended Finance, driving decisions around the use of catalytic capital from public or philanthropic sources to increase private sector investment in sustainable development.

She also manages a private family office in Singapore with interests across the Asia-Pacific region including commercial real estate and property development, digital infrastructure, water supply, hospitality, consumer businesses and venture capital.

Previously the Head of Business Development at InfraCo Asia, a company of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), Karen oversaw the investments team across Southeast Asia and South Asia, partnering with the private sector to catalyse investment into sustainable infrastructure projects.

With over 20 years’ corporate experience, Karen has held roles spanning transaction advisory with Goldman Sachs, as well as business development and funds management with Hastings Funds Management (a subsidiary of Westpac Banking Corporation). Karen has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne, a Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is a CFA charter holder.
