Profile
Nick Bova is an entrepreneur and investor focused on the future of animal health. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Arrow Ventures, a specialist investment firm backing veterinary biotech and animal health companies globally.
Before starting Arrow, Nick founded Bova Australia and Bova UK, two veterinary pharmaceutical businesses focused on developing and supplying innovative treatments for unmet clinical needs in companion animals. Through those businesses, Nick worked closely with vets, drug developers, regulators, and global animal health companies, giving him a practical understanding of what it takes to turn a good idea into a product veterinarians actually use. Over that time, Nick saw a clear gap in the market. There is a growing amount of innovation in veterinary medicine, but many promising assets struggle to access the right capital, development expertise, regulatory support, and industry connections needed to reach approval and commercial scale.
Arrow Ventures was created to help bridge that gap. The firm combines specialist capital with hands-on drug development experience, regulatory strategy, and deep industry relationships to help promising animal health companies move towards commercialization and strategic acquisition.
Nick believes animal health is entering a particularly exciting period, driven by the continued humanisation of pets, growing spend on companion animal care, and a market that has historically shown resilience through broader economic cycles. Despite this growth, the veterinary biotech sector remains relatively undercapitalised, with limited specialist competition compared with human healthcare. Arrow Ventures is focused on capitalising on that opportunity and building one of the leading specialist investment platforms in animal health globally
