Rachel Lau is a Malaysian investor, entrepreneur and strategic adviser with more than a decade of experience across private equity, private credit, venture capital and corporate finance in Asia.

She is the Founder and Managing Partner of Iris Capital Partners, where she leads private market investments and works closely with founders, shareholders and management teams on capital structuring, strategic growth and value creation.

Rachel was previously a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of RHL Ventures, one of Southeast Asia’s early homegrown venture capital platforms. Over her career, she has invested in and advised companies across healthcare, technology, financial services and consumer sectors, with a particular focus on businesses navigating growth, transformation and regional expansion.

Alongside investing, Rachel advises companies and shareholders on fundraising, M&A, strategic transactions and market entry, combining an investor’s perspective with hands-on corporate finance experience.

Having spent a significant part of her career in Hong Kong, Rachel brings a pan-Asian perspective and an extensive network across Southeast Asia and Greater China. She is also active in YPO and the broader regional business community.

A former Malaysian national gymnast, Rachel brings a highly competitive, disciplined and long-term approach to both investing and entrepreneurship.

She is based in Kuala Lumpur and works across Asia-Pacific.
