Founded in November 2002, the Japan Venture Capital Association (JVCA) is the representative body of Japan's venture-capital community, uniting over 400 organizations — including independent VCs, corporate VCs, financial institutions, and universities. JVCA's mission is to accelerate globally competitive startups and invigorate Japan's economy through research, training, policy advocacy, and industry standards. It serves as a bridge among government, academia, and the private sector, and publishes a venture-capital performance benchmark in partnership with Preqin. Through flagship events such as the Global Venture Capital Congress and CVC Forum, JVCA fosters cross-sector collaboration and international partnerships to strengthen Japan's startup ecosystem.
