Michael Sidgmore has spent the last decade as an investor and operator in the financial technology sector. He is a Partner and Co-Founder of Broadhaven Ventures, a global early-stage financial technology investor that invests principal capital into fintech companies, VC funds, and incubates asset management businesses. Broadhaven Ventures is built on top of investment bank Broadhaven Capital Partners, which has done almost $100B in transaction volume. He has served on the boards of Nowports, Liveoak (acq. DocuSign), Covalto, Super, and Harvest (acq. by Envestnet) and as an advisor to Republic, Kovi, Allocate, and Brassica. Prior to co-founding Broadhaven Ventures, Michael was a pre-product employee and SVP at iCapital, the leading technology platform in alternative assets with over $152 billion in AUM. Prior to iCapital, he was employee #16 and first sales hire at Mosaic, a residential solar financing platform backed by Warburg Pincus that has done over $11B in home solar loan originations. Michael started his career at Goldman Sachs in their Principal Strategic Investments Group, a direct investing team focused on market structure and financial technology. He is a Venture Partner at Goodwater Capital, a $5 billion consumer tech VC. Michael is also the founder of alternative investments focused podcast Alt Goes Mainstream. Michael is an owner of Angel City FC, the women's soccer team in LA. He holds a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
