Moritz is Cherry’s General Counsel and leads the firm’s legal, regulatory, compliance, and ESG functions. He is passionate about helping Europe’s boldest founders scale their businesses, and providing strategic advice to Cherry’s founders in the process.

Moritz was previously a member of the legal team at Lakestar, a European multi-stage venture fund, and a private equity associate at Freshfields. He studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Münster before working at the German Foreign Office and various international law firms in New York and Berlin. He is a native speaker of English and German.
