Stephanie Greene is the Chief Sustainability Officer and Global Head of Sustainability Services at Cushman & Wakefield, where she leads the firm's integrated approach to sustainability across its global real estate platform. In this role, she partners with occupiers and institutional investors to strengthen the impact of sustainability on operational performance, resilience, and long-term portfolio value, while also guiding Cushman & Wakefield's own environmental performance and sustainability strategy. Greene reports to the firm's Chief Investment & Strategy Officer and works closely with senior executives and client-facing professionals across the firm's service lines.
Greene brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of real estate, energy, and strategy. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, she served as Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Sustainability Advisory at CBRE, where she built and scaled a revenue-generating global advisory platform serving institutional investors and Fortune 500 occupiers. Her prior experience includes Managing Director of the Buildings team at the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), where she led the organization's global program focused on zero-carbon buildings, and senior strategy and policy positions at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), where her roles included Chief of Staff to the CEO and President, Director of Clean Transportation, and leadership roles in the Energy Procurement and Customer Energy Solutions departments supporting renewable energy procurement, demand response and energy efficiency.
Greene's expertise spans innovation, large-scale systems transformation, and decarbonization, with deep capabilities in net-zero strategy and implementation, carbon accounting and ESG disclosure, climate risk and resilience, renewable energy procurement, and building performance regulations. She has served as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders and institutional investor executives on sustainability strategy and regulatory preparedness and is a recognized thought leader and speaker on real estate sustainability, with recent appearances at Greenbuild, ULI, and Climate Week. She also serves as a Governor-appointed board member of the Colorado C-PACE Program.
Greene holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Earth Systems from Stanford University and an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
