What is a Digital Badge?

A digital badge is a web-enabled version of a certification, or learning outcome, which can be verified online in real time. Digital badges recognize a learning or professional development achievement. Since it is digital, it can be shared across the internet for maximum visibility and recognition.

How is a badge valuable to me?

A badge allows you to easily manage, share (online), and verify your certification(s). This includes real-time authentication of your certification(s) and when you obtained it (them).

Badges provide employers and peers concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn your certification(s), what you do to actively maintain your certification(s), and your skillset. Badges can be shared in your email signature, on your electronic résumé, and on your LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter profiles.

What type of Digital Badges are available?

A Digital Badge is awarded upon successful completion of the Certificate and/or the Advanced Certificate in Terrorism Studies.

When do I get the Digital Badge?

Following exam board confirmation of your award by CSTPV University of St Andrews, you will receive an email from Credly notifying you that Informa has issued you a badge. Click the Accept button in the email which will take you to the Credly website where you will be able to create an account and claim your badge.

If you did not receive an email from Credly within two weeks of earning your certification or need support, contact admin@terrorismstudies.com or review the FAQs.

Can I share it on my Social Media channel?

Yes! Your badge is a digital version of your certification, skills and qualifications. It allows you to easily show your colleagues, friends or potential employers:

  • When you earned the certification
  • What key skills are associated with the certification
  • What it takes to qualify for the certification
  • The work you do to actively maintain the certification

You can share your badge on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, in an email signature or embed it in a website. And, you can share your accomplishment with anyone, anywhere — it’s up to you!
