The Future Ideas Grand Finale at FEI Venice

Like during the Front End of Innovation conference in Munich last month, Future Ideas brought again to Front End of Innovation in Venice, confetti, glitter and fun. This time, though, we took with us as well our amazing top three Master finalists, whose ranking was to be determined at the event!

After the official opening of the conference by Dolby's Vince Voron, Future Ideas' founder Jaspar Roos opened the award ceremony with confetti, celebrating the amazing capabilities of today's talent. The team distributed the voting cards to the attendees of the conference ' innovation managers, academics, entrepreneurs from all over Europe! The jury members Mike Hatrick and Christoph Sohn were there to ask questions on behalf of the Future Ideas jury panel.

We started with the presentation of Dutch Nine Klaassen, who explained her thesis 'Developing sustainable public lighting for residential streets'. Next was Cristina Rodrigues from Portugal with the thesis 'Development of a new food product:strawberry tree jam without addition of sucrose', who actually did bring her jam at the event! The attendees were lucky to try it. The last presenter was Portuguese Andr' Generoso Santiago, educating us with his thesis 'Antennas for Body Area Networks'.

While Vince Voron shared his experience on connecting talent to companies and its crucial importance, the Future Ideas team and IIRUSA counted the votes! Finally, the attendees have decided:

1. Nine Klaassen - Developing sustainable public lighting for residential streets

2. Andr' Generoso Santiago - Antennas for Body Area Networks

3. Cristina Rodrigues - Development of a new food product: strawberry tree jam without addition of sucrose

The event ended with a dinner party by Future Ideas and IIRUSA.
