Roberto Ippolito is Managing Director, Head of the Investment Team and Board Member at a leading european private capita group, focusing on private equity, private debt and hybrid financing solutions for mid-market companies.

Roberto brings more than 20 years of experience in principal investing and management consulting, with deep expertise across the full capital structure, including senior debt, junior debt, hybrid instruments, and private equity. Throughout his career, he has originated, structured, underwritten, executed, and monitored approximately €1 billion of investments across nearly 50 transactions involving Italian and European SMEs operating in multiple industries.

Before his current role, Roberto served as Managing Partner at RiverRock European Capital Partners, Head of Leverage Finance at General Electric Capital Italy and held managerial positions at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, DAM Capital (Anschutz Group), and Bain & Company. He also held earlier roles at Goldman Sachs and Istituto Mobiliare Italiano in merchant and investment banking.

A Fulbright and Chevening Scholar, Roberto holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, and a degree in Economics from LUISS University. He is also Professor of Principal Investing at Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi.
