Course Director at IFF
Trainer

Profile

Neil has over 35 years of banking experience in the project finance sector and is still active within the industry. In 2016, he decided to move his focus to training. He is a great communicator enabling him to simplify the complex world of project finance with a balance between theory and practice. Neil uses his extensive practical and training experience to illustrate points with references to problems and issues seen in his career.

In addition to his training, Neil also works for responsAbility Investments AG as an advisor and Investment Committee member focusing on Climate Change Investments in Emerging Markets.

His previous banking experience focused on financing a wide range of energy, natural resource and infrastructure assets via Project & Structured Finance provided by Commercial Banks, Export Credit Agencies, Development Financial Institutions and Multi-lateral Agencies.

Neil’s roles have included a range of Financial Advisory and Debt structuring mandates. This position gives Neil a strong insight into the motivations for both the Sponsors (and their equity approach) and the Financiers. Neil has been involved in financing transactions covering:

  • Power Generation (renewable and thermal) and distribution
  • Energy Infrastructure – pipelines, storage facilities
  • Oil & Gas
  • LNG liquefaction and regasification
  • Mining and Mining Infrastructure
