Hamid is a process engineer, passionate about vaccine manufacturing with broad experience in manufacturing of multiple vaccine modalities including attenuated vaccines, inactivated vaccines, subunit vaccines, recombinant protein vaccines, conjugated vaccines, and most recently, mRNA vaccines.

Currently based in Japan, Hamid oversees the global business development activities of ARCALIS Inc., a Japanese CDMO specializing on mRNA vaccines and therapeutics.

Prior to his business development role, Hamid was the lead engineer for the construction of ARCALIS Drug substance manufacturing site in Fukushima Prefecture and played a crucial role in the technology transfer of a Self-amplifying mRNA vaccine from the United States to Japan.

Prior joining ARCALIS Inc., Hamid worked in Lyon, France, as process engineer at Sanofi Pasteur global engineering department and managed vaccine drug substance manufacturing facility construction projects in South America and Asia.
