Joann received a bachelors of science in Medical Microbiology at the University of California Davis. She has over 10 years of professional experience in microbial contamination control for commercial small molecule and clinical phases adaptive cell therapy and oligonucleotides. In 2021 Joann joined Genentech’s Pharma Technical Quality chapter as a microbiology engineer with the focus to build out the end to end microbial control strategy for oligonucleotides at Genentech.
